AUTHORS NOTE
The magic in this play is the twist at the beginning of Act 1 Scene 1 when the audience is let into the secret that the man they have been watching on stage is in fact dead and cannot be seen or heard by those around him. The story then develops into an emotional rollercoaster of laughter and tears as the deceased Terry desperately tries to help his widow Gill out of a difficult situation. “a brilliant play ..A Distant Plateau, written by Paul Skye, turned out to be a plateau mid-way between earth and heaven. The resultant sequences of events were comedy and sadness intermingled. The scenes with the supposed mediums were absolutely hilarious – It was truly a tale of love, loss and friendship, with many comic sayings and incidents…. every character well drawn and portrayed by the cast, each perfectly exhibiting their feelings of joy, sadness, duty and fun,as well as roguery by the unholy threesome.” Glamorgan Gazette
