Square Peg

£10.00£20.00

This is an autobiographical play about the ways in which my experiences as a toddler, and young person, impacted on my well-being in later life. It’s essentially about the management and conquering of depressive episodes. It is set in the East End of London, my early home, but I’m happy for minor-modifications such that in can be set in any local context. The content is, in many ways, universal.

Cast

Older twin – talks about himself from being a toddler until the present day. Actors age in line with Father and Mother.

Father – again, age discussed varies but father needs to be say, 35-40 years older than older twin (some flexibility here).

Mother – one year younger than father, as noted in script (some flexibility here).

Mother and father are solidly working class, struggled financially at all times and only educated to the age of 14.
